INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP EXCHANGE COMMITTEE

PURPOSE

Friendship Exchange is an international exchange program for Rotary members and friends that allows participants to take turns hosting one another in their homes and clubs.

The costs have to be borne by the members.

What are Rotary Fellowships?
Groups of Rotarians, their family members as well as participants and alumni of all Rotary programs who connect to explore shared interests in:
  • Recreational Activities
  • Hobbies
  • Sports
  • Vocations
Rotary History & Culture
Within the Rotary family, there are actual 74 recognized International Rotary Fellowships : from antique Automobiles, Cycling, Diplomacy, Esperanto, Global History, Marathon, Photographers, Scuba Diving, Travel and hosting, Wine appreciation, to Yachting

With the registration of the first Fellowship, Rotary International recognized that common interests are a very special bond for friendship, opening additional opportunities for Rotarian ideas and projects with fellow Rotarians at national and international levels.

ROTARY  INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION COMMITTEE

This Committee is interested in promoting the RI Conventin 2020.

Dates: 6th-10th June 2020

Place: Honolulu, Hawai, USA


INTERNATIONAL SERVICE FORUM Event

This Event will have following objectives:

  1. Review of International Service activities planned and/or executed by you and your club.

  2. Invited speakers from ROTARY PEACE CENTRES, and other experts

  3. Interaction with ROTARY Peace Fellows

  4. Plenary discussions on case studies like: J&K, North East, etc.

  5. Other


PEACE AWARDS

Rotary Peace awards

is an award to recognize and honour an individual or organization for outstanding achievement consistent with the ideals of Rotary as expressed in the Fourth Object of Rotary viz

“The advancement of International understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional people united in the ideal of service.”

Rotary Peace awards are proposed to be instituted at

1. Club Level

2. District Level

        The Club and District Peace Awards in RID 3131 shall focus on advancing

  • National and International goodwill, understanding and peace through :
  • Peace‐making efforts  in areas/communities in conflict or likely to go into conflict for any reason .
  • Humanitarian activity and service  resulting in development and peaceful living in the community and society.

ROTARY PEACE AND  CONFLICT RESOLUTION , Training Workshop

This would be a training and study workshop on CONFLICT ANALYSIS AND RESOLUTION.
This event would be taken by a qualified expert who is trained at ROTARY PEACE CENTRE , at Chulalongkorn University .
Dr.Milind Pande is the expert. It could be a half day to one day workshop. Subjects of Conflict Analysis, mediation, Resolution, case studies etc. would be taken.
The training may prove useful to anyone interested in Rotary Focus area of PEACE and CONFLICT RESOLUTION/PREVENTION.
